Taking back old appliances
The “Act on the Sale, Return and Environmentally Sound Disposal of Electrical and Electronic Equipment” (ElektroG 3) obliges retailers and consumers to handle electrical and electronic equipment that is no longer needed responsibly.
Please note the following:
- We offer free disposal of small appliances (edge length up to 25 cm), even without the purchase of an equivalent, similar appliance.
- We offer free disposal of large appliances for which the German Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG) defines a take-back with the purchase of an equivalent, similar appliance.
If you would like to dispose of your old small or large appliance free of charge, you can fill in the form below and our service provider - U&W GmbH - will send you a return label after checking the data so that you can hand in the parcel at your nearest parcel acceptance point. If the new device cannot be sent by parcel service due to its dimensions and weight, we will arrange for a forwarding agent to collect your old device of the same type.
In view of these different options, when ordering online you should consider whether, for ecological reasons, you would prefer to dispose of your old appliance quickly and in an environmentally friendly manner on site instead of sending it back over long distances.
